NextCom Europe introduce the Durabook D15TS the perfect choice for mobile users wanting power, performance and security all in a rugged design. The D15TS is built tough and built to last. The D15TS is designed with a magnesium top and bottom case to protect the systems vital components from damage due to drop and concussion. The Durabook anti-shock mounting design protects the LCD and Hard Drive from damage and data loss. The Durabook's spill resistant design protects the internal components from accidental spills.
The D15TS features a 15.4" wide screen WXGA LCD with graphic resolution up to 1280X800. The on-screen graphics is driven by the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator GMA X3100 which supports up to 384MB of shared memory. The D15TS is powered by the latest Intel Core 2 Duo mobile technology providing for maximum performance and power management. Standard features in the D15TS include three USB 2.0 ports, an IEEE 1394 port, one Type II Express Card slot and an RS232 serial port. Optional features include a Web Camera, Bluetooth EDR 2.0 support and Encrypted Hard drives for the utmost in data security.

All DURABOOK systems pass US Military and European Committee rugged feature standards to ensure its durable qualification. These standard test measurements include:
- DROP TEST - Magnesium alloy case - 20 times stronger than ABS plastic, offering higher survival rate after drops and bumps. Compliant with Military Standard 810F
- VIBRATION TEST - MIL STD 810F, Method 514.4, Procedure I, Category 10, Fig 16&17/ASTM 4169, Truck Transport 11.5.2 Random test, Assurance Level II.
- SPILL RESISTANT TEST - European Committee for Electro Technical Standardization of IP31.
